The present invention has as its object to provide an operating device for a lamp and a manufacturing method, whereby the problems described above can be avoided and in particular a cost-effective production and improved electromagnetic properties can be achieved. According to the invention, this object is achieved by a lighting device for a lighting device according to claim 1 and a method for producing an operating device according to claim 11.The dependent claims define further embodiments of the present invention. According to the invention, an operating device for a lighting device is provided which comprises a housing at least one component arranged in the housing. The at least one device may be on a printed circuit board or arranged in any other suitable manner in the housing. The housing is potted with a potting compound, wherein in the housing a non-potting filled with air bubble is present. The air thus trapped in the housing of the operating device prevents complete filling of the housing with the potting compound, so that the problems explained in connection with the prior art can be avoided. Since a part of the housing is not filled with the potting material, it is advantageous to reduce the material with respect to the potting material, which leads to a cost saving in the production of the operating device. Likewise, the EMI behavior, i. the electromagnetic interference characteristic of the operating device can be improved, and the components or circuit elements present in the housing of the operating device can outgas in the housing, which increases the service life. The printed circuit board preferably has at least one component which is arranged on the printed circuit board and is not completely cast with the potting compound, i. E. it extends at least partially into the air bubble. In this case, the at least one non-completely encapsulated component is preferably arranged on an upper side of the printed circuit board, while an underside of the printed circuit board is completely encapsulated with the casting compound. The housing comprises according to a preferred embodiment, an upper and a separate separate lower housing part, wherein the upper housing part is inserted into the lower housing parts.
